Report a Bug

The fastest way: in the app press Cmd+Shift+B (or menu bar → Help → Report Bug…).

What Happens?

A sheet opens with input fields:

• Module dropdown — pick the module (Logbook, Contest, POTA, DX Cluster, CAT, …)
• Short title — what happened (one-liner)
• Description — what you did, what should have happened, what actually happens
• Attach diagnostics — on by default, adds the app version, macOS version, hardware model and your callsign to the email

Click "Open Mail" → macOS Mail opens with everything prefilled:

To: bugs@funkwelt.net
Subject: [BUG-20260513-1924-XX] [Module: Contest] Short title

Just click "Send" — done.

What We Do With Your Report

Every report gets a unique ID in the subject (BUG-yyyyMMdd-HHmm-XX). We reply with a confirmation or follow-up questions under the same ID. Fixed bugs appear in the Changelog and Known Bugs.

Without the App

If the app itself is currently unusable:

• Email bugs@funkwelt.net with:
  • What happened (step by step)
  • macOS version (Apple menu → About This Mac)
  • HAM-Tools version (it's in the DMG filename or under Apple menu → About HAM-Tools)
